The
Story Of Big T Salsa...
I
have always loved good salsa, but I could never find that
perfect blend. One day my neighbor (who was a chef) gave
me a salsa recipe, which I played around with, perfected
to my taste, and then used my friends and family as guinea
pigs.
The Fiesta Hotel and Casino had a Grand Opening Salsa Contest.
I entered and won the "Hot" category, and my Medium
flavor won "Best Overall". I started giving it
out to just a few of the guys on the jobsite where I was
working and discovered they liked it as much as the Fiesta
Hotel judges. When word spread that I was making Salsa,
my wife Maggie and I found ourselves making it by the gallon.
In
order to expand and sell to the public we leased a Health
Board Certified kitchen in Boulder City, Nevada, money
to fund our business, and a whole lot of courage! It took
us about 2 years to pull it all together.
We are now featured
at the Henderson Farmers Market (www.Hendersonfarmersmarket.com) on
Thursdays so come by for your free sample of our Mild, Medium, Roasted,
Hot & Peach Mango salsa.
